ITupside provides customers with tools and services that allow them to rapidly manage their websites at a cheaper price and without significant technical expertise.In order to get information in front of customers rapidly, companies have tried a number of solutions. They have hired programmers, they have purchased hardware, they have contracted with graphic designers or they have found a kid down the block. Any of these solutions can give a customer a functioning website. However, these solutions come up short when the real problem the company faces is to get information in front of customers without the delay and dilution inherent in passing the information from the hands of the content author to the hands of other staff, or worse, to those outside the company. These multiple solution options have created a fragmented environment that has frustrated non-technical users.
Though there are many solutions available for technical users to manage website content, there is a position in the market for a solution for the non-technical user. This under-served customer segment provides a rich space where ITupside can provide a solution for non-technical users. We have positioned ourselves as the best provider for those customers who find they need to advance from simple website management to managing multiple content areas on a single website or multiple websites.
The Customer's Problem
As non-technical users reach a point in their website evolution where a simple monolithic website no longer satisfies their company's requirements, they are forced to make major decisions on how to move forward. These decisions can be costly to their company's expense budgets if they chose to add technical staff or can negatively impact their company's revenue generation capability if the information flow to customers does not evolve with business requirements.

ITupside worked with early adopter media companies that had the need to publish content easily to many unique websites simultaneously. Our Solution
ITupside is trying to simplify the website content management process (reduce costs and make it easier) for businesses that do not have a technical person or do not want to utilize this resource for website publishing and development.

The core of ITupside's product offering is a secure web-based application that customers can access from any computer using Internet Explorer. This application is the ITupside Core Content Publishing System. The Content Publishing System provides a flexible, efficient and extensible suite of tools for the publishing of content appearing on a website. With the Content Publishing System, anyone who can use a word processor can update the website easily and quickly. This system does not require the customer to invest in servers and their maintenance or to have their ability to access the Core Content Publishing System restricted by hardware or location. Our customers set this requirement, recognizing that any dynamic website publishing application could not be restricted by the content author's physical location.

Technology Foundation
ITupside technology is unique in that we provide the tools for website content publishing entirely over the web. Our customers do not need any technical ability since they do not need to load software, set up web servers or acquire hardware. This "one stop shopping" approach allows our customers to focus on their business as opposed to hiring programmers, finding an ISP, purchasing servers and software, finding graphic artists and all the other tasks that developing and managing a website to promote your business entails.
 ITupside technology is based on the current Microsoft products, including .NET, ASP, XSLT, and XML. Our database environment is MS SQL. Websites utilizing our Content Publishing System functionality can be constructed to be partially to fully controlled. Partially controlled websites have pre-defined areas where content, both graphics and text, can be updated using our Content Publishing tools. Fully controlled websites are designed so that all content, including design templates and menus are defined by the data in the Content Publishing System.
Market and Sales Strategy
A key attribute of ITupside products is the extensibility of the Core Content Publishing System. Approximately 90% of the code is common to all markets. By customizing the final 10% of the code, we can generate market-specific products. This capability allows us to maintain a cost effective common core and simply add extensions for targeted markets. This technology architecture will permit us to take advantage of market opportunities as they evolve.
Our technology is constructed as components like Lego blocks; it operates independently providing the content and components that sites can make use of in any combination for any purpose for any audience. By keeping our "Lego blocks" loosely coupled, we can configure websites rapidly and economically to a customer's requirement. Because we can be "plugged into" any website, anywhere by anyone, we do not have any artificial limitations such as industry, style, application, audience, etc. This "Lego block" design approach allows us to retarget our technology rapidly to new market segments.
